50 Cent’s Boxing Company Files For Bankruptcy

50centSMS_250Welp, you win some and you lose some.

SMS Promotions, the boxing organization launched by rapper 50 Cent, filed for bankruptcy in Connecticut.

Court documents and TMZ report that 50 filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 protection Monday (March 25).

Records show that 50 listed estimated assets between $100,000-$500,000 and liabilities for the same amounts.

50 Cent launched SMS Promotions in 2012, signing former featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa and Olympic medalist Andre Dirrell.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. joined Jackson for a brief time in 2012 with the goal of co-promoting fights. The two had a very public, and contentious split, over numerous issues.
