Fourteen years after her tragic passing, fans will be able to stay connected to Aaliyah by scent.
Fragrance manufacturer Xyrena is releasing a tribute fragrance called Aaliyah by Xyrena, inspired by the fragrances she wore regularly. It’s a mix of vanilla, sandalwood, amber, jasmine, black pepper, violet, leather, mint, lavender and mandarin.
The scent, which skews masculine due to her trademark tomboy look and affinity towards mens fragrances, was developed by her family. As an added incentive for purchasing the scent, sales will go to The Aaliyah Memorial Fund. The fragrance is now available for pre-order and will ship in mid-October.
My two-cents: Interesting choice by the family as a way to memorialize her.
