Drake Opens a Restaurant Named After …

Drake-WizardsWell Drake may be the hardest working man in the business. Twenty-four hours after the release of What A Time To Be Alive, Drake opened a new restaurant in Toronto.

The eatery, named Fring’s Toronto, is a joint venture between Drake and Chef Susur Lee, who owns multiple restaurants in the city. The restaurant held a soft opening to friends and family on Monday (September 21)

Now Toronto reports Chef Lee says the menu hasn’t been solidified just yet, as they’re still experimenting with dishes.

“We haven’t really figured it out yet. We’re still testing and tasting, you know. Good things take time,” he said.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Jaden, along with Aubrey’s mother and Serena Williams were all there to toast to Drizzy’s latest venture.

Now for the name: Anyone who watched Breaking Bad will recognize the name as the last name of one of its characters. Well … During the Parih era, Drake revealed that it was one of Rihanna’s favorite shows and he subsequently began to refer to her as that. Evidence of the pet name appears in his song “Days in the East” and on Instagram when she decorated his dressing room with balloons. The 6 God took a picture of the room and captioned the photo: “Fring. Love you. #WYLAT”

Below, Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul shares his encounter with Drake and connection to Rihanna.
