Lil Wayne Hit With New Lawsuit for Unpaid Legal Bills

Lil wayne_hollyweezyDang … another day another lawsuit for Lil Wayne. This time it’s from his lawyers.

It seems Weezy is reportedly being sued by his former lawyer over unpaid legal bills.

Michael Kramer represented Wayne in his efforts to be released from his Cash Money Records contract and on Monday (Dec. 21) filed a lawsuit against his former client in the Manhattan federal court for failing to pay $375,239 in fees.

According to published reports, Wayne agreed to pay Kramer $20,000 as an initial retainer and then subsequent monthly bills in July 2013, according to Kramer’s suit, but he allegedly failed to pay those bills.

Billboard reports that Kramer’s law firm billed Wayne unsuccessfully from November 2014 to October 2015 and finally dropped him as a client due to the outstanding debt.

Kramer claims in the lawsuit he “made numerous attempts to resolve the dispute amicably. These attempts were ultimately unsuccessful.”

Wayne was sued in October by another law firm — Garbett, Allen and Roza — for $80,000 in unpaid legal fees. That firm was representing Wayne in a lawsuit against him from private jet leasing company the Signature Group, to whom he was ordered to pay $2 million in missing payments.
