Yesterday morning (July 25), Dr. Dre learned the hard way that race issues are affecting every economic class.
According to published reports, a driver parked his car directly in front of Dre’s Malibu home, and when the rapper asked the driver to move, he did, but was swearing at Dre as he did it. As Dre continued to be yelled at by the driver, he pulled out his phone to record the incident. At this point, the driver allegedly said, “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.” He then called the police to report that Dre had pulled a gun on him.
Officers arrived on the scene, put handcuffs on Dre, and searched him. They found no gun, so he was let go. Still, the driver insisted on making a citizen’s arrest, filing paperwork that detailed his allegations against Dre. The citizen’s arrest will be forwarded to the District Attorney, but it seems this whole incident will likely amount to no trouble for Dre.
