Kodak Black To Remain in Jail

kodak-black-250-ohsodjBad news for the #FreeKodakBlack party. Yesterday (Aug 17), the good news became short lived after authorities discovered two outstanding warrants following Tuesday’s hearing in a Florida court where the 19-year-old rapper had pleaded no contest to multiple charges of drug possession, firearm possession by a delinquent, robbery and fleeing a law enforcement officer and was slated to be released from jail.

A representative from the Broward Sheriff’s office, public information officer Joy Oglesby, confirmed, “During the release process, we found two active warrants for Mr. Octave. He is currently still in the custody of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.”

The Sun Sentinel is reporting that during the process of being released police discovered a warrant for Kodak in St. Lucie County, Florida & another warrant out of Florence, SC. According to the Broward Sheriff’s website, the out of state charge is criminal sexual conduct, a felony, while the St. Lucie charges are possession of weed and possession or use of paraphernalia.

A judge ruled on Tuesday that Kodak would be released and sentenced him to a year of house arrest as well as five years of probation.
