Pusha T may be musically more quiet than normal, but don’t sleep he’s making moves.
The President of G.O.O.D. Music has been keeping busy overseeing the growth of Sounds Lab, an initiative that launched last year in Detroit’s Cass Technical High School under the guidance of Big Sean and adidas Originals.
Recently he was joined by I-D magazine while visiting students in Chicago.
Over the course of his year-long mentorship, Pusha will periodically visit Sound Lab schools and offer career guidance and production assistance to the program’s students. He’ll share insights about creative collaboration and behind-the-scenes team building. “There are so many aspects of making music, from songwriting to production to engineering, that are all equally important. A program like this in a place like this brings it all together, even beyond the music itself,” he explained.
