Dr. Dre is threatening to sue Sony Pictures over the Lifetime movie Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le set to premiere next Saturday (Oct. 15) which shows him as an abusive boyfriend.
TMZ reports his lawyers sent Sony a cease and desist letter, with the threat of legal action if the film airs in its current form.
In the letter, Dre says he never abused Michel’le and points out that she never hinted that he was a violent person in the 30 years since they’ve dated.
At one point in the trailer, the actor portraying Dre grab’s the singer’s neck after she doesn’t come up with a song.
