Tupac Film ‘All Eyez on Me’ Earns $27M at Box Office

Despite some of the scathing reviews and fan criticism, The Tupac Shakur biopic ‘All Eyez on Me’ landed at No. 3 at the North American box office over the weekend. The film came in ahead expectations with $27.1 million from 2,471 theaters.

Pixar and Disney’s Cars 3 dominated the box office with an estimated $53.5 million from 4,256 theaters, followed by Wonder Woman, which fell a scant 30 percent in the U.S. to $40.8 million for a domestic cume of $274.6 million.

Named after Shakur’s fourth studio album, the film opened on what would have been his 46th birthday.
