Drake and Future Named in Lawsuit by Woman Raped During the Summer Sixteen Tour

An unidentified woman is suing Drake, Future, and others in a $25 million lawsuit after allegedly being raped during the Summer Sixteen Tour in Nashville, Tennessee in August of 2016.

The man accused of the sexual assault is Leavy Johnson, who has since been indicted on a rape charge and arrested in Florida.

“Court records detail the 28-year-old woman’s account of what happened at the concert: She was trying to get backstage to meet Drake and a worker told her he could help,” reported Stacey Barchenger of The Tennesseean. “Around a corner, the man pushed her down and raped her.”

Johnson has been booked into jail and is awaiting arraignment for the rape charge. According to court records, the 28-year-old woman making the accusations against him claims the assault happened during the August 14 show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

The woman maintains that the arena, artists, and security companies employing Johnson should have known he posed an “unreasonable risk to others” due to Johnson’s outstanding warrants for assault at the time of the alleged attack.

Johnson was also facing charges in Texas and Nashville police worked with law enforcement officials in Texas to extradite Johnson to Nashville and answer to the rape charge.
