(Still playing catch-up here) Say it ain’t so … Columbus Short will be a Scandal cast member no me. (Big sigh) I love him on that show.
Columbus just released this statement: “At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble in television today.”
Short goes on: “Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast…”
Now, many are saying it all points back to his recent personal issues. There was the recent assault investigation as well as allegations of domestic violence from his estranged wife. TMZ reported that she just got a restraining order against him after he allegedly put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. He’s also been charged in connection with another incident with domestic violence and child abuse.
It’s all big mess. Long story, short … It looks like his character may be killed if I go by the cliffhanger. I suppose they could just replace his character but he’s so good who would fill his shoes. Dang! …
