Drake’s Pitch to Kevin Durant Results in Fine for Raptors

drizzy_raptorsDrake’s loose lips get him in trouble again.

While performing last weekend at his 5th annual OVO Fest in Toronto, Drake found himself feeling a little froggy and decided to innocently, but publicly, invite Kevin Durant to come play for his beloved Toronto Raptors.

“Before we leave, I just want to show one of my brothers something,” Drake told the screaming crowd. “You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. Let him know what would happen.”

It may have seemed to be done all in fun, but the NBA didn’t take it too kindly and decided to fine the Raptors $25,000, according to ESPN.

The NBA deemed Drake’s plea to KD as a violation of it’s anti-tampering rules. In September 2013, Drake was named as the Raptors Global Ambassador.

Sounds like someone may need to curl up with that rule book one night over the hookah.
