Frank Ocean Has New Management

frank.ohsodjWell Ocean has certainly been dealing with a lot of change lately.

Since winning a Grammy last year for best urban contemporary album for Channel Orange, things have been a little “un-smooth.” If you need to proof, you can just look to his biological father.

Since July, Frank has been signed to management with Three Six Zero joining a roster that includes Calvin Harris.

“Frank is an incredibly intelligent and creatively brilliant individual,” says Mark Gillespie, co-founder of Three Six Zero Group. “We’re proud that he felt Three Six Zero was the right home for him.”

Frank is currently working on his copyright.

Though Channel Orange brought him much critical acclaim, Frank has developed a reputation for being difficult. Former publicist Heathcliff Berru told Billboard in June he was “relieved” to lose Ocean as a client. Still, anticipation is high for his next release from Def Jam.

My two-cents: I kid you not. When I read the title of the release for his new management I thought to myself, “he seems difficult.” Confirmed.
