Dame Dash Names Kanye West & Mariah Carey As Witnesses

dameA lawsuit by filed by Dame Dash claiming Hollywood director Lee Daniels owes him millions may wind up being star-studded event.

Dame identified Kanye West and Mariah Carey in an updated complaint filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“There are pretty notable potential witnesses there,” said his lawyer Natraj Bhushan.

Dash mentioned Ye and Mimi among those who can boost his claims that he was cheated out of investments and payment for films including the hit movies “Precious,” “The Butler” and “The Paperboy.”

According to Dame, he got Ye to promote “The Woodsman” — the first film Dash produced with Daniels in 2004 — by having him perform at venues where ads for the movie would run.

Dash also claims he was instrumental in convincing Mariah to appear in the 2008 drama “Tennessee” by assuring her “that Lee was a competent and talented producer,” even though his previous flick “Shadowboxer” had flopped.

The suit, which asks for unspecified damages, maintains that Dame never got a return on the $2 million he pumped into Lee’s movies despite repeated promises, and that he was robbed of producer credits on some of the flicks.

His lawsuit charged that Lee’s manager and co-producer Simone Sheffield has given him the runaround and later defamed him by telling others in the industry that he’s going to jail for ongoing legal issues.

My two-cents: Do we remember when Dame sounded off on Ye? Friends, just because you can flip on someone or feel like you have a right to, be sure you’ll never need that person again in your life. When people are loud, reckless I never think much of them. It’s easy to “check” someone. No…I respect the person that sits in silence. They’re the powerful ones.
