Dr. Dre Tops Hip-Hop Forbes List

Forbe’s Cash Kings lists notes the highest paid hip-hop acts.

Dre’s multi-million dollar deals have earned the beatsmith $620 million this year, thus leading him to gain the number one spot on Forbes’ annual “Hip Hop Cash Kings” list. His epic deal with Apple left Jay Z and Diddy tied for the number two slot with $60 million apiece.

Drake followed in the fourth spot with $33 million and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis make it to number five with $32 million. Checks from an arena tour and endorsement deal with Nike’s Jordan line tripled his 2013 earnings of $10.5 million. DJ Khaled and J. Cole also tie at number 20 with $7 million. “It’s safe to say headphones is a good business,” DJ Khaled told the magazine. Guess Khaled checked off an item on his bucketlist.
