Say it ain’t so. The Sony hack is the gift that keeps on giving.
According to the DailyBeast, Clint Culpepper and a team of Sony executives have had conversations with Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles, on creating the possibility for a Destiny’s Child biopic.
“Matthew Knowles, Beyonce’s Father wants to make the film of Destiny’s Child and came to me first,” Culpepper wrote. “He’s going to Universal next. Do we think it would be a successful film? They’re on Sony label. I’m just not sure that it’s not too soon.”
Since news has broke, however, Lifetime denies any work on the film and told the Times the film “is not on [its] development slate.”
Under her dad’s guidance, Beyonce formed the best-selling girl group in 1996.
