\"cbkr\"<\/a>Say it ain\u2019t so.\u00a0 Newark Mayor (& politician golden child) Cory Booker has fallen victim to social media\u2019s temptations after reports surfaced this week that he\u2019s traded Twitter messages with a Portland-based vegan stripper.\u00a0 (All these single, decent women throwing it around him and he entertains a vegan stripper.\u00a0 SMH. He must be backed up.\u00a0 I digressed \u2026 )<\/i><\/p>\n

The two began corresponding after appearing in \u201cFollow Friday: The Film,\u201d an upcoming documentary about Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201c@CoryBooker you\u2019re welcome to come stay in my bedroom if your home was affected by the hurricane . . . ;)\u201d Lee tweeted in October, after Hurricane Sandy.<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

On Feb. 24, Lee tweeted, \u201c@CoryBooker the west coast loves you (by west coast, I mean me) :),\u201d an expression of affection that finally prompted Booker to respond.<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cThe East Coast loves you and by the East Coast I mean me,\u201d he tamely responded in a direct message to Lee that the Daily News obtained.<\/i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cWell now I\u2019m blushing,\u201d responded Lee, whose account is strewn with nude selfies and other not-safe-for-work material.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s only fair,\u201d Booker wrote back.<\/i><\/p>\n

The senator is known for his zealous embrace of social media and has amassed more than 1.4 million followers on Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mayor talks with people from all walks of life on Twitter,\u201d Cory\u2019s spokesperson Kevin Griffis says in response. \u201cThe most shocking part of the story was learning that there is a vegan strip club in Portland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cory, sir, apparently you’re new at this social media game. \u00a0However, you’ve got to learn how to be more discreet. \u00a0As a golden rule, you should stay away from Twitter followers with stripper\/ dancer listed as the occupation. \u00a0I also think it’s a red flag when your profile picture is semi-nude. \u00a0#IJS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Outside of this obvious bad choice, I actually have no issue w\/ Cory dating – even if he’s DMing people on Twitter<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0In this day of age, Twitter is simply one form of communication and he’s a young man. \u00a0Why not be familiar with it??? He’s 44, single and has a stellar future ahead of him. \u00a0I expect nothing less than a bad chick. \u00a0Unlike many politicians that get married in their 20s, he’s in a wildy great position for picking a partner. \u00a0As a politician however, he has to be more cautious.<\/p>\n
