Not so fast. It turns out, that Drizzy is distancing himself from the project. He took to Twitter to inform fans. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The documentary was slated to showcase never-before-seen footage of the rapper before he signed to Young Money in 2009. According to Pitchfork, the film was executive produced by Rap-A-Lot Records founder James Prince and his son Jas Prince, who filed a lawsuit in 2012 against Drake\u2019s management team for not giving him any profits for introducing Drake to Lil Wayne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWayne told me he sucked,\u201d Prince said in the trailer. \u201cHe was like, \u2018Jas, you know, don\u2019t play me that shit no more, he\u2019s not good.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet a statement from one of Drake\u2019s representatives conveyed that the film was not authorized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously Drake and OVO only put out music and video\/film that is of the highest quality for their brand and what their fans have come to expect and do not want any fans to buy into something that has not come from them,\u201d the representative said, according to Rolling Stone. <\/p>\n<p><em>My two-cents: Trouble in paradise &#8230; <\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\">\n<p>The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in.
