About

I’m a single southern-bred gal. I like to think I’m pretty smart – multiple degrees. Not shabby. But despite the fact that I’ve tried to ignore it, my PhD has always been in hip-hop culture – everything that’s trendy, mainstream or hot now.

Right at the doorstep of 20, I was the editor of CHRONICMAGAZINE.COM. (Click on the “Continue to Archived Site” link).

The site was only slated to be a prototype for a print mag to show investors the concept, but Atlantic Records took it serious. The label reached out and wanted one of their rising stars – Sean Paul – on the site. Pretty soon I went on to form relationships with Interscope Records, Def Jam and many promoters/ PR reps/ mangers to land interviews with up and coming artists at the time – 50 Cent, Ciara, Trey Songz as well as established artists and personalities like MC Lyte, Wendy Williams, Jim Jones and Roy Jones Jr.

After several years of floating by, an unlikely corporate career emerged and I closed the site down to pursue what I perceived as my path.

Only thing was … it wasn’t.  I missed the hustle that online media brought.

So I’m back – better equipped, stronger and wiser – with a site that now bears my moniker.
