Meek Mill Dodges Prison, Sentenced to 90 Day House Arrest

meek_crwnWell S/O to Meek Mill. Today his probation ruling came down and after much deliberation, he will remain a free man.

A Philadelphia judge sentenced Meek to house arrest for a minimum of 90 days, starting March 1. He’ll wear an ankle monitor and will be prevented from working (which includes releasing new music), though he can do charity work during that time. He will also be on probation for the next six years.

After 90 days, the judge will consider whether he will remain under house arrest.

Nicki Minaj was present by his side in the courtroom today.

In December, the judge ruled that Meek had violated his probation due to various unauthorized trips outside of the Philadelphia area. During that hearing, Meek told the judge, “I’m not a gangsta. I’m not a criminal. I have my queen, Nicki now. I’m trying to do better and feel like I can be the best rapper out there.”

He was on probation due to a 2009 drug and gun conviction. In 2014, he served five months in jail for violating his probation.
