Jay Z, Kanye West, Frank Ocean Hit With Copyright Infringement Suit

YeHovJay Z, Kanye West and Frank Ocean have been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit for a track from their 2011 collaborative work on the Watch the Throne album.

According to published reports, New York musician Joel McDonald is claiming that the trio lifted his 2009 song “Made in America which incidentally has the same name.  McDonald is reportedly seeking $3 million in damages.

This isn’t the first time Jay and ‘Ye have faced legal trouble for WTT. Shortly after the LP’s release, singer Syl Johnson came forward with a copyright infringement suit for using his vocals on “The Joy” without permission. The case with Johnson was later settled.
