When it comes to Tupac and women, there are always two major questions that arise – 1) Did Madonna and Tupac really date? 2) Did Janet Jackson really ask Pac to take an AIDS test?
Well, Pac’s brother Mopreme Shakur is shedding some light on it all. In a video interview with DJ Vlad, Shakur recalled an encounter he had with Madonna back in the mid ’90s when she came to see Pac on the set of Above The Rim.
“[Madonna] gave me a note to give to him,” he said. “[I didn’t read it,] I was just happy she was giving him a note. Everybody was there, I went and gave it to him. He was about the business and then they linked up and I would take him to her house and shit when we got back to L.A. Yeah. They were a thing for a minute.”
According to ‘Preme, they were an item, but things never got too serious between the Pac and the Queen of Pop.”They were kicking it,” he said. “I don’t think it was super serious, gonna get married or some shit. You know how those entertainment relationships go. They both respected each other, so it ended cool.”
He also confirmed that YES, Janet Jackson asked Tupac to take an AIDS test before a kissing scene in Poetic Justice.
