What’s really good Jay Electronica? It seems he may have a little bone to pick with 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar.
In a recent Periscope session, Jay can be seen saying, “Put some Kendrick on. Nah, f*ck that. Look, I like the one Kendrick song with Gunplay, ‘Cartoons and Cereal,’ but other than that we don’t know what nigga talking about.”
Later in the clip, he says “Kendrick is my son…Kendrick is my baby, Kendrick wishes he could be me.”
Perhaps his feelings still stem from the “Control” freestyle dropped in April 2014. At the time, he rated himself as having the best verse and the Periscope video he still feels the same way.
“Me, Big Sean then Kendrick….No shots. Everyone knows i like Kendrick but facts are facts.”
Elsewhere in the Periscope clip, Jay Electronica disses 50 Cent (around the 12 min mark).
“50 Cent at once, he was a good rapper,” the Louisiana rapper says. “Right now he got the potential to be a rapper, but he’s on some sucker shit…and we will slap 50 Cent’s eyeballs loose out his scalp.”
