Kanye West has announced the title for his upcoming album.
Using his now normal method of communication Twitter, Ye posted, “My next album is titled ‘Turbo Grafx 16’ as of now.”
He went on to explain the inspiration came from the video games he’d play as a child. Turbo Grafx 16 was a video game console developed by NEC that rivaled platforms by Sega and Nintendo in the 1990s.
Ye announced that he was releasing an album this summer days ago during a Grammy rant on Twitter.
Turbo Grafx 16 will be the follow-up to The Life of Pablo…. which according to Ye is still not final. Now along the same lines, Ye’s cousin and collaborator, Tony Williams, said that some of the songs for The Life of Pablo were withheld so that they could be on this next project.
