Rocko Sues Future for $10 Million

future_DS2ATL rapper and business owner Rocko is suing his longtime collaborator and artist, Future, for an alleged breach of their 2011 contract.

In 2010, Rocko formed A1 Recordings with himself and Future as the company’s salient artists, and by 2013 they’d secured a distribution deal with E1 Music. All four of Future’s solo albums have been released under the A1, Freebandz and Epic Records umbrellas, likely due to the 6-album contract Rocko says he made with Future back in 2011.

That same year, Future signed a deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records to distribute the albums. After the Epic deal was cut, Rocko says Future and Epic cut side deals that made things very lucrative for Future, but neglected to compensate A1 fairly.

Specifically, Rocko alleges that his record company was never given the 25% commission of Future’s Epic advances that they had rights to, or the 20% cut of Future’s touring and endorsement revenue they were owed … an amount that Rocko estimates to be $10 million.

And to no surprise Future is hot like lava. Similiar to his dealings with Ciara, he took to Twitter to air out his thoughts.
