Donald Glover and His Series ‘Atlanta’ Land Golden Globe Win

Congratulations to Donald Glover. He scored a big win at the the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday night (Jan. 8).

Glover’s Atlanta, the critically acclaimed series he produced and starred in on FX, won a Golden Globe for “Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical.”

Glover himself took home Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series. During his acceptance speech for the first award, he thanked not only the city of Atlanta but also rap trio Migos, who make an appearance in the show. “I’d like to thank the Migos—not for being on the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,’” he said. His praise didn’t end there. He continued to shout out Migos backstage, as Vulture reports. “I think they’re the Beatles of this generation and I don’t think they get a lot of respect beyond Atlanta,” he said.
