Rick Ross and Pusha T Grace Source Magazine

sourceThe Source Magazine is donning dual covers of Pusha T and Rick Ross for the upcoming November issue.

Big feats for both.

For Pusha, this marks his first cover on The Source. “The Source is where we get a bird’s eye view of the evolution of hip-hop,” says Push. “A cover to commemorate My Name Is My Name is dope. Pun intended.”

During the interview Pusha T discussed his feelings on Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse saying, “I’m glad Kendrick said what he said. That’s supposed to be the attitude of every rapper, so that verse didn’t really mean that much to me. It’s about raising the bar.”

For Rick Ross, this was quite the opposite.  This is his fifth cover.

“I’m going into my 6th album, my 5th cover, just letting you know that every year they supported the team MMG,” Ross says.

In other Rozay and Pusha news, the two emcees appear in the “Hold On” video, a cut found on Pusha’s latest album, My Name Is My Name.

You can catch both editions of the magazine in stores on November 26.
