HBO has released the first trailer for The Defiant Ones, an upcoming documentary on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine.
Directed by Allen Hughes (Menace II Society, Dead Presidents), the four-part film shows how Dre and Jimmy achieved the American Dream as the brains behind billion dollar companies like Interscope Records, Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics.
According to HBO, The Defiant Ones is “an unquestionably bold film about the unlikely but ultimately unbreakable bond of trust and friendship between two street-smart men from different worlds who have shaped many of the most exciting and extreme moments in recent pop culture.” The Defiant Ones premieres July 9 on HBO.
