Madonna Apologizes for N-Word

madOh, when we all get the memo.

We’re not even through January and some people are already not having a good year. One specific person is Madonna.

It all went down hill for her when she posted a photo of her son Rocco boxing in the ring with the caption: “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disni**a.” She quickly removed the image, and then uploaded it again with a different, less offensive caption. But as we all know, it was too late. The damage had been done or better yet the net had already run wild with the screen shot. So Madge had to issue an apology.

“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N-word on Instagram,” she said in a statement released via her Instagram on Saturday (Jan. 18.) “It was not meant as a racial slur … I am not a racist. There’s no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention … it was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”

I like Madonna but she gets no pass. Doesn’t matter if she has children of color or dated men of color. No N-word.
