So lately, my morning starts out the same. The first thing I do is reach over to my iPhone or iPad (which ever is closer) and check my timelines. I like to know what’s going on in the world before I set foot to carpet and this is what I see.
What are y’all doing to Aubrey first thing in the morning? Geez.
So you know he recently did a spot with Rolling Stone mag. Remember we talked about his Macklemore comments.
Well, apparently the interview includes a section where Drake talks about Kanye and his thoughts on Yeezus.
“There were some real questionable bars on there,” he says. “Like that ‘Swaghili’ line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some shit like that.” But Drake says he speaks from a bedrock of deep respect. “Kanye’s the reason I’m here. I love everything about that guy.”
Ok. Well I guess you also noticed the reference to Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the timeline too. So TMZ is reporting that Drake is upset at Rolling Stone for making a cover switch. In light of Phillip’s passing he now appears on the cover of the magazine.
To all this messiness, I say … Let that man live. We buy his music. Support his endorsements but when he speaks we completely tear him down. Why? I hate to see us – the so called music lovers – tear the great artists down.
