Nick Young Burglarized

iggy2.2Local police are investigating a robbery at the rental home of Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young.

According to a TMZ report, burglars vandalized and stole expensive items from Young’s home on Sunday night. Young notified authorities when he noticed a broken window at the house just after the Lakers’ 103-94 victory over the Orlando Magic.

The exact value of the items stolen likely extends well into the thousands of dollars, with the TMZ report saying “Louboutin shoes, jewelry, clothes, Louis Vuitton luggage and more” were taken before suspects walked out the front door. It is unclear whether Young was specifically targeted because he was a Lakers player (and the robbers knew he wouldn’t be home), and authorities are still looking for leads on potential culprits.

Young, 28, is one of the league’s most fashion-forward players. He was recently featured in a GQ spread with his girlfriend, rapper Iggy Azalea, and is known to have an extensive shoe and outfit collection. Calling himself “Swaggy P,” Young recently showed off his wardrobe choices with Lance Fresh.

While his house was being ransacked, Young was continuing a mini-resurgence. He scored 26 points on 8-of-17 shooting off the bench, with 13 of those points coming in the fourth quarter. It was his second 20-point game in a row, as he’s finally getting back to full health after knee injuries kept him on the shelf for much of February and March.
