Beyonce & Jay Z Lead BET Award Nominations

bey_hov.2Finally a story about Bey and Hov that doesn’t involve the mention a brawl. The duo are leading BET nods with four nominations each. Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration (“Drunk In Love”), and Video of the Year twice (“Partition,” “Drunk In Love”).

Besides being nominated alongside Beyoncé for Video of the Year and twice for Best Collaboration, Jay is also nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist.

Drake, Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams and August Alsina follow behind with three nominations each.

“This year’s nominees represent the best of the culture,” says Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials via a press release. “It’s great to see our talented new artist’s right alongside our more beloved ones with long careers. We appreciate our BET Awards nomination committee, over 300 strong, for their efforts and congratulate all the nominees.”

Chris Rock will host the award show which will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. on Sunday, June 29 at 8pm EST.
