For the July issue, GQ decided to highlight Harlem style using locals who may know a thing or two about it— enter A$AP Mob and Cam’ron.
Of course the A$AP Mob were a natural fit for the feature not only because they’ve curated a book on the topic but also because they’ve added to Harlem’s fashion-forward legacy. Posted up at the Apollo, Rocky, Ferg, and the rest of their crew make suits styled with T-shirts seem like an easy look to pull off. Rocky wears a suit by Balenciaga with a Billionaire Boys Club hoodie, and checkered Vans, meanwhile Ferg reps Boss and pairs his suit with a Bellerose T-shirt, Borsalino hat, and jewelry by David Yurman.
Rocky also broke down his style for GQ, explaining, “Harlem has always been known for its swagger and pizzazz. I get my high-end look downtown, but my street style comes from uptown.” It’s definitely working for you, dude—keep that combo going.
Cam’ron — founder of Dipset — also threw on a suit for the shoot. He opted for one by Brunello Cucinelli, while Juju—his better IG half stunned in a bandage dress by Hervé Léger.
