Pharrell’s Hat Goes to the Newseum

pharrell_gqPharrell’s now infamous hat, which made its debut at the 2014 Grammys, has a new home at the Newseum.

Back in January, Pharrell’s hat stole the show at the 2014 Grammys. It became an overnight success complete with it’s own Twitter page.

In March, Pharrell auctioned off the hat to fast food chain Arby’s for $44,100, benefitting Pharrell’s educational non-profit organization, From One Hand to AnOTHER. Well now, Arby’s is taking the head piece to Washington, D.C.

Scott Williams, senior vice president of marketing at the Newseum, tells The Washington Post, “Pharrell’s hat is a great addition to the Newseum and will serve as a great example of the impact of social media today.”

The famous hat will be on display from Aug. 22 till Oct. 26.

My two-cents:  Crazy is hat is a like a piece of history.
