Rapper Kanye West has been charged with misdemeanor battery over a July scuffle with photographer at Los Angeles International Airport. The slow motion, bizarre scuffle (if you can call it that) was captured on video. He will be arraigned Oct. 10 but don’t be surprised if you don’t see him. He’s not required to attend if his lawyer is present. The 10th is just over a week before his Yeezus Tour with Kendrick Lamar kicks off in Seattle on Oct. 19. Honestly, this is just a tap on the wrist. $1,000 please ….
On the flip side, actress Nicole Kidman intends to sue freelance photographer Carl Wu who crashed into her while she was entering New York’s Carlyle hotel on Thursday. Nicole was returning from Calvin Klein’s runway show at New York Fashion Week when Wu knocked her down. Wu was later cited by New York police for reckless driving, riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, and riding a bike without a helmet. Good for her. These photographers are out of control.
