The FBI confirmed that they raided a house owned by Rashid “Mally Mall” Jamal.
“The FBI conducted two federal search warrants in relation to an ongoing investigation,” FBI spokeswoman Bridget Pappas said in a statement.
No additional details were provided and no arrests were made. Mall was not at home at the time of the raid. Records leading to the raid are sealed.
Neighbors around the Oquendo Road property said they heard loud noises this morning, including a helicopter flying overhead.
He is known around his neighborhood for his exotic animals, and animal control officers were reported to be at the house yesterday morning (Sept 29).
My two-cents: Word on the skreet is that the raid may have been related to human trafficking.
