Whew .. 50 Cent better have some deep pockets.
According to published reports, he will have to pay Sleek headphones a $16 million debt owed following a judge’s ruling on Wednesday.
Palm Beach County judge Peter Blanc said there wasn’t a valid reason for 50 Cent and his legal team to clear the debt he owes. The company sued the rapper in 2013 and won a judgement this past April after they alleged he “misappropriated trade secrets, breached his fiduciary duty owed to Sleek, participated in a civil conspiracy, breached his confidentiality agreement with Sleek and being unjustly enriched.”
The original ruling came down in April. 50 had originally partnered with Sleek to build a headphone line but split from them in 2011. He then partnered with Sync to created Sync by 50.
