Looks like Rihanna’s instagram pictures this weekend has landed two men in jail.
On Friday, Riri posted a pic of herself on Instagram posing with a slow loris on her shoulder. The caption read, “Look who was talkin dirty to me! #Thailand #nightlife.”
The slow loris is a rare, squirrel-like primate that is listed as a protected species in Thailand. The animals, native to Southeast Asia, are known for being brought out as props for tourist photos. However when Rihanna received over 200,000 “likes” on Instagram, it caught the attention of Phuket police officials who arrested the two men they say provided the animal as a photo prop.
The two suspects – a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy – could face charges of possession of protected animals, which carries a penalty of up to four years in prison and a $1,300 fine.
