Nicki stay dropping that new music.
This time she leaves the controversial lyrics for something a little more introspective.
She debuted her new release “Bed of Lies” during the 2014 MTV EMAs last weekend. Now, this wouldn’t be the first time we heard a heartfelt Nicki, but its the lyrics that have everyone with a raised brow.
Now there’s been no confirmation, but it appears that these lyrics could be about her ex-beau Safaree “Scaff Beezy” Samuels.
“You could never make eye contact. Everything you got was based off of my contacts,” she raps. “You a fraud, but I’mma remain icon-stat. Balenciaga’s on my boots with the python strap.” Later she continued, “I told Baby hit you, I said this dude buggin’. Cause I was doing it for us, I told em fu*k the public,” later confirming the two parted ways, “Couldn’t believe that I was home alone contemplating overdosin’, all the postin’, no more toastin’ over oceans. They say you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone. They say that your darkest hour comes before your dawn. But there was something I should’ve asked all along.”
Available for purchase on iTunes, the song is off Nicki Minaj’s third solo LP The Pinkprint, due Dec. 15.
