Drake Night returned Wed night (Dec 17) with his and the Toronto Raptors.
Similar to last year’s debut, the celebration centered around the NBA franchise and Toronto’s own Drake. Along with a special edition OVO x Raptors t-shirt given to the 19,000 in attendance commemorating the night, the 28-year-old rapper returned to the scorer’s table as PA announcer, introducing the starting lineups with a comedic twist.
Sitting down with ESPN’s Mark Jones and Jon Barry for an in-game interview, the Raptors Global Ambassador spoke on the team’s recent success, changes he would make as NBA Commissioner, and championship goals. “Yeah, I’m working on some great things for the beginning of the year, just trying to keep people excited.” And possibly a mixtape?????
