According to published reports, The Weeknd was arrested … over the weekend.
On Sunday (Jan. 11), law enforcement was called to the Cromwell Hotel at 4:20 am when a fight involving singer-songwriter was taking place.
Sources say police attempted to break up the fight by pulling the 24 year old into an elevator and that’s where The Weeknd allegedly punched the officer in the head. The singer was then taken to jail where he was charged with battery of a protected person. Yikes!
He later posted a photo of him boarding a private jet after being bailed out with a captain that read “Escaped Las Vegas.” I guess all is well … for now.
