T.I. Weighs In on “Blurred Lines” Loss

T.I.ohsodjIn the aftermath of the “Blurred Lines” verdict, where the jury award $7.4 million in damages to Marvin Gaye’s family, the family is now seeking the judge to “correct” the verdict and add a few more parties to it, including Universal Music, Interscope Records and Star Trak Entertainment. and T.I.

Welp, of course Tip has an opinion on that change of events.

“I don’t know what’s going on. I never really got caught up in that. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and the estate of Marvin Gaye,” he told TMZ. “I know that I’m a writer, a creator, I don’t steal from anybody creatively when I make my music. I know that, and I think anybody with common sense will be able to see it whenever they listen to it.”

“I’ll be exonorated or whatever cause I know I did the right thing,” he further commented about his part on Robin Thicke’s massive hit.

Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams were ordered to pay that sum after a verdict was reached a by California federal jury earlier this month.
