TMZ reports the pair are being sued by a Latin music duo based in New York who allege that West and Dash’s film, Loisaidas, infringes on and devalues their group of the same name. Michael Medina, one of the group’s members, claims that the film tarnishes his musical brand because it features violence and drug dealing.
Loisaidas, a slang word which means Lower East Side, is executive produced by Ye and Dash and stars The Lox, Murda Mook, Smoke DZA, and Dame Dash himself. The film is currently available for purchase online.
The duo wants a judge to halt the project and hit them with damages.
