Usher has joined on as an executive producer for “Undroppable,” a documentary exploring the dropout epidemic in the U.S. educational system.
Directed and written by Jason Pollock, the film will be completed this year and released in 2014.
Usher was introduced to the project Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, who is also a producer on the film along with Adam McKay, Sharon Chang, Alex Soros and John Powers Middleton. As wel know, Usher and Braun worked together while launching the career of Bieber.
Look to see a social media campaign launched as well which will allow students to speak out about the issues they face in school.
Looks like Usher’s really trying to get back into films. Remember he’s doing the Sugar Ray movie too.
I’m 100% down for anything education so … reluctant head-nod to Usher. He just needs to get home life straight now.
