Are We Really This Bad???

Occasionally on this blog I have been known to get on a soapbox or two.  Through the means of Justin Bieber and NYC’s attempted soda ban I’ve bird-walked my way onto bigger issues that face America – bullying  and obesity.  I’ve even mentioned morality a couple of times.  I can see where this could be a stretch for some of you.  After all, America’s not spiraling out of control…right?  Friends allow me to present Exhibit A – FakeABaby.com

 WTF friends?

This site gives you all the necessary tools to fake a pregnancy – silicon belly, fake pregnancy tests, personalized prenatal prescription pill bottles, personalized ultrasound pics, even 3D pics.

This site is toted as an April fool’s prank, but who’s falling for that.  Our family units are already failing us. For a five-minute joy ride, many of us can’t take the seconds necessary to prevent pregnancy – a lifetime commitment.  Now, instead of creating more tools that help correct these breakdowns, we’re being given more vehicles to trivialize the issue.  Or better yet, some people will use these ridiculous tools to entrap an already irresponsible fellow for at least a couple of good months if he’s smart.

SMH … are we really this bad?  At first glance it’s just a site, but it’s these little chips that eventually make us desensitized.  #IJS
