A Mess

bag_Vintage postcard_edited-1The beginning of a week always brings a joyous occasion. (Sarcasm)  This Monday several dilemmas came to a head.

First things first.  Apparently I can not eat very hot foods late at night. I found the best tortilla chips on the market – Hot & Spicy Xochitl.  These are make you smack your mother good.  And for you health nuts, they’re also USDA certified Organic and Kosher.  This morning I woke to all sorts of misery.  Although I am a vampire I have to cut the spicy foods at least by 10-ish.  This is yet another item to add to my “I am getting old” list.

Secondly, with my new job I’m now constantly hopping between buildings for meetings.  This means my good shoes are now being exposed to the abrasive cobblestone. No ma’am.  I can’t have that – especially since I am not a shoe person.  I’m not one of those women with 10 pairs of black shoes.  I can’t mess up my “good” shoes.  So I decided I’ll just wear my flip-flops until I get to my destination.  Sounds smart. The problem is every single time I change my shoes, I see some sort of business partner.  So here I am doing the quick 2-second switch-a-roo and here comes some big exec saying hello as I put my heels on my feet.  Uggghhh…I’ve got to be more discrete.  To make matters worse I’ve got this sad, sad bag that I carry my shoes in.  Look at it.  The straps get all twisted when I walk.  This weekend, I’ve got to upgrade that.  I am officially a mess.
